5 Apr '00: VH1 Best Of Storytellers Album Out In April. Eurythmics appear among stars as David Bowie, Elvis Costello, and Jewel on VH1 Storytellers, an album that compiles performances from the music station's live music series where Eurythmics performed last year. The disc will be out April 25 on Interscope Records. VH1 will also broadcast a video version of the album on May 3. 5 Apr '00: Dave Stewart has announced plans to launch a New Age television channel in the Netherlands. Stewart has teamed up with Eileen Gregory and Morgan Mason, to develop Innergy, which will be broadcast by cable network UPCtv from the summer. 12 Apr '00: In her first solo appearance after the Eurythmics reunion last year Annie Lennox performed her hit "Why" all alone on stage behind a piano this tuesday (10 April) at the celebration of Arista Records' 25th anniversary celebration. It was a moving performance by the diva, who was wearing a sequinned dress, feather boa, long black boots and sunglasses. Other artists featured were Carlos Santana, Whitney Houston, Sarah McLachlan and a prerecorded special by Aretha Franklin. The show will air (in the US) on 15 May (NBC, 8:00pm ET). VH1 will also broadcast a video version of the album on May 3. 1 May '00: In a short article in the Daily Mirror, Saturday April 22nd, 2000, it was revealed that Annie Lennox and Uri Fruchtmann have split up after 12 years of marriage. The article in the sensationalist British tabloid paper explained that their relationship had suffered since she reformed the Eurythmics with "ex-lover" Dave Stewart. Apparantly she is flying to the Carribean to forget her troubles, and then plans to live alone with her children Lola, and Tali at her 2 million pound London mansion.
